The season begins with XIII waking up in a hospital with no memory of who he is. As he tries to piece together his past, he discovers that he is wanted by the police for a crime he does not remember committing. XIII soon learns that he is a highly skilled assassin and that his memories are fragmented and scattered throughout his mind.
