Introduction: What is VMware VDDK? The VMware Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK) is a critical, yet often overlooked, software package for any IT professional managing a vSphere environment. If you are involved in backup automation, disaster recovery, storage management, or custom vSphere integrations, you have likely needed to download VMware VDDK at some point.
